Learning Agreement

The learning agreement under the Erasmus+ program is an agreement between the student and UFP, represented by the ECTS Coordinator of the course in which the student is enrolled and the Institutional Coordinator (Doctor Nadine Rombert Trigo/IRO).

That agreement determines the subjects that the student will take at the host university and cannot have less than 30 ECTS credits per semester.

The learning agreement must be prepared by the student in cooperation with the ECTS Coordinator and it is subject to approval by the Institutional Coordinator.

The student chooses the subjects at the host university even though the content may not be exactly the same, according to the subjects to which he/she is enrolled at UFP in the respective semester.

This does not apply to previous failed courses. These subjects cannot be taken abroad.

According to the agreed learning agreement, UFP pledges to recognize academically the study period abroad.

Any change to the original learning agreement must be informed to the IRO and to UFP’s ECTS Coordinator who must also approve it. If the student does not comply this condition, UFP’s pledges to academic recognition will not apply to these subjects.

In general, it is possible to take a traineeship abroad. If the student is enrolled in the internship at UFP, academic recognition is guaranteed. In cases where the student is not enrolled in the traineeship at UFP, it will be mentioned as an extra-curricular activity in the Diploma Supplement.

UFP only undertakes the academic recognition of 30 credits per semester. In the case of more than 30 credits completed abroad, credits above 30 will be mentioned as extra-curricular activities in the Diploma Supplement.

Failure to comply with the agreed learning agreement implies the loss of the right to academic recognition, the return of the amount corresponding to the exemption of tuition fees, and may also imply the full return of the awarded mobility grant.
